I’ll put Monet on Paris having a great Olympics
July 7, 2024
You know this one, but it has rings!
Today the main thing we have on the agenda is the Eiffel Tower. As we entered, it was so sweet how excited Liam is. When we got under it, he was skipping and running around saying “I can’t believe my eyes!” He enjoyed spotting the people on it from far below and seeing the elevators we will be taking up. We headed up and the views are amazing. We enjoyed trying to spot the places we have visited so far and headed to the highest level of it. Luckily none of us are afraid of heights, which Liam kept pointing out, because it was very, very high up.

Next, we made our way to the Orangerie Museum. We explored the Walter Guillaume collection, which is insane to imagine how many works of art this one art collector held, and this isn’t even his full collection. We enjoyed how the rooms were set up to introduce us to the artist and take us through this art progression. They also have a mini diorama of his apartment, which was a highlight to see. We then headed to the big draw of this museum, the Monet Waterlily rooms. This did not disappoint. We were in awe standing among the giant canvases and it all put together. We went through both rooms, trying to take it all in. We read a little about how he proceeded these building his own giant panels on easels to make these two rooms, which together create an infinity symbol.
