We said we would come back with our child someday, and we did!

Give it a good push Liam!
As I reviewed our blog from the last time we came to Paris, we ended by saying that if/when we come back we will take it easy and slower the next time. Now that we are arriving here we realize there is no relaxing on this trip, but we certainly plan to rush around less and spend more time sitting in gardens. We arrived just in time for lunch and then realized how close our hotel is to the Luxembourg Gardens. This was one of our favorite things last time we visited and as we planned this trip we looked forward to going with Liam to have him sail the boats in the pond.
So, we decided to head right there and check it out. The weather was absolutely beautiful (and set to be the rest of our time here) so it made for the perfect day to check it out. As we entered, it is hard to miss the giant pond with sail boats. Liam immediately got so excited to see it and then even more excited when we told him he could try his own. We picked a sailboat, and of course he chose one with a red sail (his favorite color), so we got New Zealand. We showed him how to push it around and it, and he, were off to the races! It was fairly windy so we got to chase it all around, while it sometimes suddenly changed directions and sent Liam running in a new direction. He also enjoyed pretending to fish with his bamboo pole and periodically dropping it in the pond.
I mean, it’s a cool playground
Next, we headed over to the playground. It was a great playground that had everything Liam could ask for. A huge climbing tower and slide, sandbox, zipline, and so much more. He had a blast and immediately asked if we could go back when it was time to go. We made a note to try to return during the trip.
We walked around a bit on the way back to our hotel, which is in the Latin Quarter and seems to be right in the heart of everything. As we walked back we could tell from all the cheering a soccer game was on and continue to enjoy the passion Europeans have while watching the games. We found a cute little restaurant for dinner, where the owner is also the chef. It was a great dinner that felt like we were eating from someones kitchen. Liam also tried his first escargot and loved them. At first, I was nervous to tell him what he was eating but he immediately embraced it and kept saying “Can I have one more snail?” He didn’t seem to mind at all!
